Paper and Carton laminating

Laminating carton, paper and wood (e.g. wooden-board qualities) is still done in many industries. Many packaging materials for e.g. electronic equipment do consist of for e.g. a layer grey carton with a nice printed colour paper on the outside (laminated). Applications can also be found in the gaming (board games) industry, in the graphic- and promotional industry (displays, bill boards). Most adhesives for these applications require:

• A good bond (Fibre tear) of materials. Depending on the surfaces (coatings, lac, recycled materials)
• Initial tack (wettack)
• Drying properties (shrinking, expansion, bubbling etc.)
• Workability in later processing, as cutting and punching)

It needs no further explanation that one needs the right adhesive and knowledge to run a production line perfectly. One must be aware of the different machine properies.
